وَلَيسَتِ التَّوبَةُ لِلَّذينَ يَعمَلونَ السَّيِّـٔاتِ حَتّىٰ إِذا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ المَوتُ قالَ إِنّى تُبتُ الـٰٔنَ وَلَا الَّذينَ يَموتونَ وَهُم كُفّارٌ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ أَعتَدنا لَهُم عَذابًا أَليمًا١٨
But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment
يُريدُ اللَّهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُم وَيَهدِيَكُم سُنَنَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكُم وَيَتوبَ عَلَيكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ حَكيمٌ٢٦
Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise
وَعَلَى الثَّلٰثَةِ الَّذينَ خُلِّفوا حَتّىٰ إِذا ضاقَت عَلَيهِمُ الأَرضُ بِما رَحُبَت وَضاقَت عَلَيهِم أَنفُسُهُم وَظَنّوا أَن لا مَلجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلّا إِلَيهِ ثُمَّ تابَ عَلَيهِم لِيَتوبوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوّابُ الرَّحيمُ١١٨
And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
لِيُعَذِّبَ اللَّهُ المُنٰفِقينَ وَالمُنٰفِقٰتِ وَالمُشرِكينَ وَالمُشرِكٰتِ وَيَتوبَ اللَّهُ عَلَى المُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِنٰتِ ۗ وَكانَ اللَّهُ غَفورًا رَحيمًا٧٣
[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful
الَّذينَ يَحمِلونَ العَرشَ وَمَن حَولَهُ يُسَبِّحونَ بِحَمدِ رَبِّهِم وَيُؤمِنونَ بِهِ وَيَستَغفِرونَ لِلَّذينَ ءامَنوا رَبَّنا وَسِعتَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ رَحمَةً وَعِلمًا فَاغفِر لِلَّذينَ تابوا وَاتَّبَعوا سَبيلَكَ وَقِهِم عَذابَ الجَحيمِ٧
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire
۞ قَولٌ مَعروفٌ وَمَغفِرَةٌ خَيرٌ مِن صَدَقَةٍ يَتبَعُها أَذًى ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَنِىٌّ حَليمٌ٢٦٣
Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity followed by injury. And Allah is Free of need and Forbearing
وَلِلَّهِ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَما فِى الأَرضِ ۚ يَغفِرُ لِمَن يَشاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ١٢٩
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
۞ وَسارِعوا إِلىٰ مَغفِرَةٍ مِن رَبِّكُم وَجَنَّةٍ عَرضُهَا السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالأَرضُ أُعِدَّت لِلمُتَّقينَ١٣٣
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
الَّذينَ يُنفِقونَ فِى السَّرّاءِ وَالضَّرّاءِ وَالكٰظِمينَ الغَيظَ وَالعافينَ عَنِ النّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ المُحسِنينَ١٣٤
Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good
فَأُولٰئِكَ عَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَعفُوَ عَنهُم ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفورًا٩٩
For those it is expected that Allah will pardon them, and Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving
