Quran quotes about gratitude (Shukr) — how to be thankful for Allah's blessings and increase in favor.
لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ٧
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you are ungrateful, indeed, My punishment is severe.'
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ١٢
And We gave Luqman wisdom, [for him to be grateful] to Allah. And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself.
لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ٧
If you are grateful, I will increase you in blessings.
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا٣
We guided him to the way — whether grateful or ungrateful.
Look at those below you and do not look at those above you. This is more proper so that you do not belittle Allah's favors upon you.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ عَيْنَيْنِ وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ٨
Have We not given him eyes, a tongue, and lips, and guided him?
He who does not thank people, does not thank Allah.
O Allah, bless me in my family, bless me in my progeny. You are the One who hears and answers prayers.
فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ١٥٢
Remember Me, I will remember you. Be grateful, do not be ungrateful.
The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head there is an angel appointed, and every time he makes a supplication for his brother with good, the angel says, 'Ameen, and for you the same.'
