Quran quotes about gratitude (Shukr) — how to be thankful for Allah's blessings and increase in favor.
وَمِن ءايٰتِهِ أَن يُرسِلَ الرِّياحَ مُبَشِّرٰتٍ وَلِيُذيقَكُم مِن رَحمَتِهِ وَلِتَجرِىَ الفُلكُ بِأَمرِهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ٤٦
And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful
اللَّهُ الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيلَ لِتَسكُنوا فيهِ وَالنَّهارَ مُبصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذو فَضلٍ عَلَى النّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَشكُرونَ٦١
It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful
۞ اللَّهُ الَّذى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ البَحرَ لِتَجرِىَ الفُلكُ فيهِ بِأَمرِهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ١٢
It is Allah who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful
وَهُوَ الَّذى سَخَّرَ البَحرَ لِتَأكُلوا مِنهُ لَحمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَستَخرِجوا مِنهُ حِليَةً تَلبَسونَها وَتَرَى الفُلكَ مَواخِرَ فيهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ١٤
And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذو فَضلٍ عَلَى النّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَشكُرونَ٧٣
And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude
ثُمَّ عَفَونا عَنكُم مِن بَعدِ ذٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ٥٢
Then We forgave you after that so perhaps you would be grateful
ثُمَّ بَعَثنٰكُم مِن بَعدِ مَوتِكُم لَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ٥٦
Then We revived you after your death that perhaps you would be grateful
وَاذكُروا إِذ أَنتُم قَليلٌ مُستَضعَفونَ فِى الأَرضِ تَخافونَ أَن يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النّاسُ فَـٔاوىٰكُم وَأَيَّدَكُم بِنَصرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُم مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ٢٦
And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful
وَما ظَنُّ الَّذينَ يَفتَرونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الكَذِبَ يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذو فَضلٍ عَلَى النّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَشكُرونَ٦٠
And what will be the supposition of those who invent falsehood about Allah on the Day of Resurrection? Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of them are not grateful
فَكُلوا مِمّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَاشكُروا نِعمَتَ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُم إِيّاهُ تَعبُدونَ١١٤
Then eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And be grateful for the favor of Allah, if it is [indeed] Him that you worship
