Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 2:255
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:255) — The Verse of the Throne
English Translation
"Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."

except what He wills
وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ
wasi'a kursiyyuhu
His Kursi extends over
السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ
as-samawati wal-ard
the heavens and the earth
وَلَا يَئُودُهُ
wa la ya'uduhu
and tires Him not
حِفْظُهُمَا
hifzuhuma
their preservation
وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ
wa huwal-'Aliyyu
and He is the Most High
الْعَظِيمُ

Benefits of Ayatul Kursi
Protection from Shaytan
The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi before sleeping, Allah will send a guardian angel to protect him all night.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 2311)
Entry into Paradise
Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi after every obligatory prayer, nothing stands between him and entering Paradise except death.
Allah's Protection
The verse is a powerful supplication of Allah's absolute sovereignty — reciting it with sincerity invokes divine protection in all affairs.
Shield Against Evil
Ayatul Kursi is considered a fortress of protection against the evil eye, jinn, and all forms of harm.
