مَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي غَنِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ
Whoever is grateful has certainly been grateful for the good of his soul, and whoever is ungrateful, indeed, my Lord is free of need and generous.

لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you are ungrateful, indeed, My punishment is severe.'
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ
And We gave Luqman wisdom, [for him to be grateful] to Allah. And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself.
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا
We guided him to the way, whether grateful or ungrateful.
