Tawakkul (Trust in Allah) Quotes
Quran and Hadith about relying on Allah completely while taking action — trust in the best disposer of affairs.
فَبِمَا رَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلۡقَلۡبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنۡ حَوۡلِكَۖ فَٱعۡفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ١٥٩
Then when you have decided, put your trust in Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely upon Him.
إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ٧٩
Indeed, I have turned my face toward the One who created the heavens and the earth, inclined toward truth, and I am not of the polytheists
قُل لَّآ أَمۡلِكُ لِنَفۡسِي نَفۡعࣰ ا وَلَا ضَرًّا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَلَوۡ كُنتُ أَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ لَٱسۡتَكۡثَرۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ وَمَا مَسَّنِيَ ٱلسُّوٓءُۚ إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرࣱ وَبَشِيرࣱ لِّقَوۡمࣲ يُؤۡمِنُونَ١٨٨
Say: I do not possess for myself any benefit or harm except what Allah has willed; and if I had knowledge of the unseen, I would have acquired much wealth
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِن تَتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ يَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ فُرۡقَانࣰ ا وَيُكَفِّرۡ عَنكُمۡ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ٢٩
O you who believe, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you; and Allah is the possessor of great bounty
وَإِذۡ يَمۡكُرُ بِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيُثۡبِتُوكَ أَوۡ يَقۡتُلُوكَ أَوۡ يُخۡرِجُوكَۚ وَيَمۡكُرُونَ وَيَمۡكُرُ ٱللَّهُۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡمَٰكِرِينَ٣٠
And remember when those who disbelieved plotted against you to bind you or kill you or expel you; and they planned, but Allah planned, and Allah is the best of planners
هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الأَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيبٌ مُجِيبٌ٦١
It is He who produced you from the earth and caused you to dwell in it, so ask His forgiveness and then turn to Him in repentance. Indeed, my Lord is near and ready to respond.
إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُم٥٦
Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord.
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا٨٠
And say: My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا١٠
Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and prepare for us, from our affair, right guidance.
رَبُّنَا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلَهًا١٤
Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth; we will never call upon any god besides Him.
