Quran

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ لا أُقسِمُ بِيَومِ القِيٰمَةِ١

I swear by the Day of Resurrection

— Surah Al-Qiyamah 1
Quran

وَلا أُقسِمُ بِالنَّفسِ اللَّوّامَةِ٢

And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]

— Surah Al-Qiyamah 2
Quran

يَسـَٔلُ أَيّانَ يَومُ القِيٰمَةِ٦

He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection

— Surah Al-Qiyamah 6
Quran

قُل إِن كانَت لَكُمُ الدّارُ الءاخِرَةُ عِندَ اللَّهِ خالِصَةً مِن دونِ النّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا المَوتَ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ٩٤

Say, [O Muhammad], "If the home of the Hereafter with Allah is for you alone and not the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful

— Surah Al-Baqarah 94
Quran

هُوَ يُحيۦ وَيُميتُ وَإِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ٥٦

He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned

— Surah Yunus 56
Quran

وَإِنّا لَنَحنُ نُحيۦ وَنُميتُ وَنَحنُ الوٰرِثونَ٢٣

And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor

— Surah Al-Hijr 23
Quran

وَأَقسَموا بِاللَّهِ جَهدَ أَيمٰنِهِم ۙ لا يَبعَثُ اللَّهُ مَن يَموتُ ۚ بَلىٰ وَعدًا عَلَيهِ حَقًّا وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ٣٨

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths [that] Allah will not resurrect one who dies. But yes - [it is] a true promise [binding] upon Him, but most of the people do not know

— Surah An-Nahl 38
Quran

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم ثُمَّ يَتَوَفّىٰكُم ۚ وَمِنكُم مَن يُرَدُّ إِلىٰ أَرذَلِ العُمُرِ لِكَى لا يَعلَمَ بَعدَ عِلمٍ شَيـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَليمٌ قَديرٌ٧٠

And Allah created you; then He will take you in death. And among you is he who is reversed to the most decrepit [old] age so that he will not know, after [having had] knowledge, a thing. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Competent

— Surah An-Nahl 70
Quran

۞ قُل يَتَوَفّىٰكُم مَلَكُ المَوتِ الَّذى وُكِّلَ بِكُم ثُمَّ إِلىٰ رَبِّكُم تُرجَعونَ١١

Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned

— Surah As-Sajdah 11
Quran

وَما يَستَوِى الأَحياءُ وَلَا الأَموٰتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسمِعُ مَن يَشاءُ ۖ وَما أَنتَ بِمُسمِعٍ مَن فِى القُبورِ٢٢

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves

— Surah Fatir 22
