أَوَلَم يَرَوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبسُطُ الرِّزقَ لِمَن يَشاءُ وَيَقدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ
Do they not see that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe
وَمَن أَرادَ الءاخِرَةَ وَسَعىٰ لَها سَعيَها وَهُوَ مُؤمِنٌ فَأُولٰئِكَ كانَ سَعيُهُم مَشكورًا
But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah]
وَما هٰذِهِ الحَيوٰةُ الدُّنيا إِلّا لَهوٌ وَلَعِبٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ الدّارَ الءاخِرَةَ لَهِىَ الحَيَوانُ ۚ لَو كانوا يَعلَمونَ
And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew
يٰقَومِ إِنَّما هٰذِهِ الحَيوٰةُ الدُّنيا مَتٰعٌ وَإِنَّ الءاخِرَةَ هِىَ دارُ القَرارِ
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement
أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ اشتَرَوُا الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا بِالءاخِرَةِ ۖ فَلا يُخَفَّفُ عَنهُمُ العَذابُ وَلا هُم يُنصَرونَ
Those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided
أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ حَبِطَت أَعمٰلُهُم فِى الدُّنيا وَالءاخِرَةِ وَما لَهُم مِن نٰصِرينَ
They are the ones whose deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and for them there will be no helpers
مَن كانَ يُريدُ ثَوابَ الدُّنيا فَعِندَ اللَّهِ ثَوابُ الدُّنيا وَالءاخِرَةِ ۚ وَكانَ اللَّهُ سَميعًا بَصيرًا
Whoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing
الَّذينَ يَستَحِبّونَ الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا عَلَى الءاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدّونَ عَن سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبغونَها عِوَجًا ۚ أُولٰئِكَ فى ضَلٰلٍ بَعيدٍ
The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah, seeking to make it (seem) deviant. Those are in extreme error
ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ استَحَبُّوا الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا عَلَى الءاخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَهدِى القَومَ الكٰفِرينَ
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people
انظُر كَيفَ فَضَّلنا بَعضَهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ ۚ وَلَلءاخِرَةُ أَكبَرُ دَرَجٰتٍ وَأَكبَرُ تَفضيلًا
Look how We have favored [in provision] some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees [of difference] and greater in distinction
