رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا فِتنَةً لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا وَاغفِر لَنا رَبَّنا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ٥
Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise
عَسىٰ رَبُّنا أَن يُبدِلَنا خَيرًا مِنها إِنّا إِلىٰ رَبِّنا رٰغِبونَ٣٢
Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous
وَأَنَّهُ لَمّا قامَ عَبدُ اللَّهِ يَدعوهُ كادوا يَكونونَ عَلَيهِ لِبَدًا١٩
And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass
رَبِّ اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيتِىَ مُؤمِنًا وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِنٰتِ وَلا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمينَ إِلّا تَبارًا٢٨
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction
يَرِثُنى وَيَرِثُ مِن ءالِ يَعقوبَ ۖ وَاجعَلهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا٦
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]
فَدَعا رَبَّهُ أَنّى مَغلوبٌ فَانتَصِر١٠
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help
وَقَد أَضَلّوا كَثيرًا ۖ وَلا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمينَ إِلّا ضَلٰلًا٢٤
And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error
قالَ عيسَى ابنُ مَريَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنا أَنزِل عَلَينا مائِدَةً مِنَ السَّماءِ تَكونُ لَنا عيدًا لِأَوَّلِنا وَءاخِرِنا وَءايَةً مِنكَ ۖ وَارزُقنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰزِقينَ١١٤
Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers
وَما تَنقِمُ مِنّا إِلّا أَن ءامَنّا بِـٔايٰتِ رَبِّنا لَمّا جاءَتنا ۚ رَبَّنا أَفرِغ عَلَينا صَبرًا وَتَوَفَّنا مُسلِمينَ١٢٦
And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]
وَقالَ موسىٰ رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ ءاتَيتَ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَأَهُ زينَةً وَأَموٰلًا فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا رَبَّنا لِيُضِلّوا عَن سَبيلِكَ ۖ رَبَّنَا اطمِس عَلىٰ أَموٰلِهِم وَاشدُد عَلىٰ قُلوبِهِم فَلا يُؤمِنوا حَتّىٰ يَرَوُا العَذابَ الأَليمَ٨٨
And Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment
