كُلوا مِن طَيِّبٰتِ ما رَزَقنٰكُم وَلا تَطغَوا فيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيكُم غَضَبى ۖ وَمَن يَحلِل عَلَيهِ غَضَبى فَقَد هَوىٰ٨١
[Saying], "Eat from the good things with which We have provided you and do not transgress [or oppress others] therein, lest My anger should descend upon you. And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen."
ذٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّم حُرُمٰتِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيرٌ لَهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۗ وَأُحِلَّت لَكُمُ الأَنعٰمُ إِلّا ما يُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم ۖ فَاجتَنِبُوا الرِّجسَ مِنَ الأَوثٰنِ وَاجتَنِبوا قَولَ الزّورِ٣٠
That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ يٰأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ ما أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبتَغى مَرضاتَ أَزوٰجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ١
O Prophet, why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking the approval of your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
كانَ النّاسُ أُمَّةً وٰحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيّۦنَ مُبَشِّرينَ وَمُنذِرينَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الكِتٰبَ بِالحَقِّ لِيَحكُمَ بَينَ النّاسِ فيمَا اختَلَفوا فيهِ ۚ وَمَا اختَلَفَ فيهِ إِلَّا الَّذينَ أوتوهُ مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَتهُمُ البَيِّنٰتُ بَغيًا بَينَهُم ۖ فَهَدَى اللَّهُ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا لِمَا اختَلَفوا فيهِ مِنَ الحَقِّ بِإِذنِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَهدى مَن يَشاءُ إِلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ٢١٣
Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ وَالمَلٰئِكَةُ وَأُولُوا العِلمِ قائِمًا بِالقِسطِ ۚ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ١٨
Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
إِنَّ الَّذينَ يَكفُرونَ بِـٔايٰتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقتُلونَ النَّبِيّۦنَ بِغَيرِ حَقٍّ وَيَقتُلونَ الَّذينَ يَأمُرونَ بِالقِسطِ مِنَ النّاسِ فَبَشِّرهُم بِعَذابٍ أَليمٍ٢١
Those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right and kill those who order justice from among the people - give them tidings of a painful punishment.
أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ أوتوا نَصيبًا مِنَ الكِتٰبِ يُدعَونَ إِلىٰ كِتٰبِ اللَّهِ لِيَحكُمَ بَينَهُم ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّىٰ فَريقٌ مِنهُم وَهُم مُعرِضونَ٢٣
Do you not consider, [O Muhammad], those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They are invited to the Scripture of Allah that it should arbitrate between them; then a party of them turns away, and they are refusing.
تِلكَ ءايٰتُ اللَّهِ نَتلوها عَلَيكَ بِالحَقِّ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُريدُ ظُلمًا لِلعٰلَمينَ١٠٨
These are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you, [O Muhammad], in truth; and Allah wants no injustice to the worlds.
وَإِن خِفتُم أَلّا تُقسِطوا فِى اليَتٰمىٰ فَانكِحوا ما طابَ لَكُم مِنَ النِّساءِ مَثنىٰ وَثُلٰثَ وَرُبٰعَ ۖ فَإِن خِفتُم أَلّا تَعدِلوا فَوٰحِدَةً أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمٰنُكُم ۚ ذٰلِكَ أَدنىٰ أَلّا تَعولوا٣
And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice].
وَليَخشَ الَّذينَ لَو تَرَكوا مِن خَلفِهِم ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعٰفًا خافوا عَلَيهِم فَليَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَليَقولوا قَولًا سَديدًا٩
And let those [executors and guardians] fear [injustice] as if they [themselves] had left weak offspring behind and feared for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.
