إِنّا كَفَينٰكَ المُستَهزِءينَ٩٥
Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers
فَإِن ءامَنوا بِمِثلِ ما ءامَنتُم بِهِ فَقَدِ اهتَدَوا ۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّوا فَإِنَّما هُم فى شِقاقٍ ۖ فَسَيَكفيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ١٣٧
So if they believe in the same as you believe in, then they have been [rightly] guided; but if they turn away, they are only in dissension, and Allah will be sufficient for you against them. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing
وَلَو أَنَّهُم رَضوا ما ءاتىٰهُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسولُهُ وَقالوا حَسبُنَا اللَّهُ سَيُؤتينَا اللَّهُ مِن فَضلِهِ وَرَسولُهُ إِنّا إِلَى اللَّهِ رٰغِبونَ٥٩
If only they had been satisfied with what Allah and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allah; Allah will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allah," [it would have been better for them]
وَلَمّا أَن جاءَت رُسُلُنا لوطًا سيءَ بِهِم وَضاقَ بِهِم ذَرعًا وَقالوا لا تَخَف وَلا تَحزَن ۖ إِنّا مُنَجّوكَ وَأَهلَكَ إِلَّا امرَأَتَكَ كانَت مِنَ الغٰبِرينَ٣٣
And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind
۞ إِذ تُصعِدونَ وَلا تَلوۥنَ عَلىٰ أَحَدٍ وَالرَّسولُ يَدعوكُم فى أُخرىٰكُم فَأَثٰبَكُم غَمًّا بِغَمٍّ لِكَيلا تَحزَنوا عَلىٰ ما فاتَكُم وَلا ما أَصٰبَكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ خَبيرٌ بِما تَعمَلونَ١٥٣
[Remember] when you [fled and] climbed [the mountain] without looking aside at anyone while the Messenger was calling you from behind. So Allah repaid you with distress upon distress so you would not grieve for that which had escaped you [of victory and spoils of war] or [for] that which had befallen you [of injury and death]. And Allah is [fully] Acquainted with what you do
وَلا تَحزَن عَلَيهِم وَلا تَكُن فى ضَيقٍ مِمّا يَمكُرونَ٧٠
And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire
ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ عَلَيكُم مِن بَعدِ الغَمِّ أَمَنَةً نُعاسًا يَغشىٰ طائِفَةً مِنكُم ۖ وَطائِفَةٌ قَد أَهَمَّتهُم أَنفُسُهُم يَظُنّونَ بِاللَّهِ غَيرَ الحَقِّ ظَنَّ الجٰهِلِيَّةِ ۖ يَقولونَ هَل لَنا مِنَ الأَمرِ مِن شَيءٍ ۗ قُل إِنَّ الأَمرَ كُلَّهُ لِلَّهِ ۗ يُخفونَ فى أَنفُسِهِم ما لا يُبدونَ لَكَ ۖ يَقولونَ لَو كانَ لَنا مِنَ الأَمرِ شَيءٌ ما قُتِلنا هٰهُنا ۗ قُل لَو كُنتُم فى بُيوتِكُم لَبَرَزَ الَّذينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيهِمُ القَتلُ إِلىٰ مَضاجِعِهِم ۖ وَلِيَبتَلِىَ اللَّهُ ما فى صُدورِكُم وَلِيُمَحِّصَ ما فى قُلوبِكُم ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ بِذاتِ الصُّدورِ١٥٤
Then after distress, He sent down upon you security [in the form of] drowsiness, overcoming a faction of you, while another faction worried about themselves, thinking of Allah other than the truth - the thought of ignorance, saying, "Is there anything for us [to have done] in this matter?" Say, "Indeed, the matter belongs completely to Allah." They conceal within themselves what they will not reveal to you. They say, "If there was anything we could have done in the matter, some of us would not have been killed right here." Say, "Even if you had been inside your houses, those decreed to be killed would have come out to their death beds." [It was] so that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purify what is in your hearts. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts
قُلِ اللَّهُ يُنَجّيكُم مِنها وَمِن كُلِّ كَربٍ ثُمَّ أَنتُم تُشرِكونَ٦٤
Say, "It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him
وَأوحِىَ إِلىٰ نوحٍ أَنَّهُ لَن يُؤمِنَ مِن قَومِكَ إِلّا مَن قَد ءامَنَ فَلا تَبتَئِس بِما كانوا يَفعَلونَ٣٦
And it was revealed to Noah that, "No one will believe from your people except those who have already believed, so do not be distressed by what they have been doing
فَلَمّا رَءا أَيدِيَهُم لا تَصِلُ إِلَيهِ نَكِرَهُم وَأَوجَسَ مِنهُم خيفَةً ۚ قالوا لا تَخَف إِنّا أُرسِلنا إِلىٰ قَومِ لوطٍ٧٠
But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot
