اعلَموا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَديدُ العِقابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ٩٨
Know that Allah is severe in penalty and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذينَ عَمِلُوا السّوءَ بِجَهٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تابوا مِن بَعدِ ذٰلِكَ وَأَصلَحوا إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِن بَعدِها لَغَفورٌ رَحيمٌ١١٩
Then, indeed your Lord, to those who have done wrong out of ignorance and then repent after that and correct themselves - indeed, your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful
۞ نَبِّئ عِبادى أَنّى أَنَا الغَفورُ الرَّحيمُ٤٩
[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful
قالَ وَمَن يَقنَطُ مِن رَحمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضّالّونَ٥٦
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray
وَاخفِض لَهُما جَناحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحمَةِ وَقُل رَبِّ ارحَمهُما كَما رَبَّيانى صَغيرًا٢٤
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small
رَبُّكُم أَعلَمُ بِما فى نُفوسِكُم ۚ إِن تَكونوا صٰلِحينَ فَإِنَّهُ كانَ لِلأَوّٰبينَ غَفورًا٢٥
Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] - then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving
وَإِمّا تُعرِضَنَّ عَنهُمُ ابتِغاءَ رَحمَةٍ مِن رَبِّكَ تَرجوها فَقُل لَهُم قَولًا مَيسورًا٢٨
And if you [must] turn away from the needy awaiting mercy from your Lord which you expect, then speak to them a gentle word
رَبُّكُمُ الَّذى يُزجى لَكُمُ الفُلكَ فِى البَحرِ لِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كانَ بِكُم رَحيمًا٦٦
It is your Lord who drives the ship for you through the sea that you may seek of His bounty. Indeed, He is ever, to you, Merciful
إِلّا رَحمَةً مِن رَبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّ فَضلَهُ كانَ عَلَيكَ كَبيرًا٨٧
Except [We have left it with you] as a mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great
وَرَبُّكَ الغَفورُ ذُو الرَّحمَةِ ۖ لَو يُؤاخِذُهُم بِما كَسَبوا لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ العَذابَ ۚ بَل لَهُم مَوعِدٌ لَن يَجِدوا مِن دونِهِ مَوئِلًا٥٨
And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape
