ما أُريدُ مِنهُم مِن رِزقٍ وَما أُريدُ أَن يُطعِمونِ٥٧
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me
فَلِلَّهِ الءاخِرَةُ وَالأولىٰ٢٥
Rather, to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]
فَأَعرِض عَن مَن تَوَلّىٰ عَن ذِكرِنا وَلَم يُرِد إِلَّا الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا٢٩
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life
وَتَجعَلونَ رِزقَكُم أَنَّكُم تُكَذِّبونَ٨٢
And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]
هُوَ الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرضَ ذَلولًا فَامشوا فى مَناكِبِها وَكُلوا مِن رِزقِهِ ۖ وَإِلَيهِ النُّشورُ١٥
It is He who made the earth tame for you - so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision - and to Him is the resurrection
أَمَّن هٰذَا الَّذى يَرزُقُكُم إِن أَمسَكَ رِزقَهُ ۚ بَل لَجّوا فى عُتُوٍّ وَنُفورٍ٢١
Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion
وَأَلَّوِ استَقٰموا عَلَى الطَّريقَةِ لَأَسقَينٰهُم ماءً غَدَقًا١٦
And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision
بَل تُؤثِرونَ الحَيوٰةَ الدُّنيا١٦
But you prefer the worldly life
وَالءاخِرَةُ خَيرٌ وَأَبقىٰ١٧
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring
وَأَمّا إِذا مَا ابتَلىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيهِ رِزقَهُ فَيَقولُ رَبّى أَهٰنَنِ١٦
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me
