وَأَوفُوا الكَيلَ إِذا كِلتُم وَزِنوا بِالقِسطاسِ المُستَقيمِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ وَأَحسَنُ تَأويلًا٣٥
And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result.
وَكانَ لَهُ ثَمَرٌ فَقالَ لِصٰحِبِهِ وَهُوَ يُحاوِرُهُ أَنا۠ أَكثَرُ مِنكَ مالًا وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرًا٣٤
And he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, "I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers of] men."
أَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّما نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مالٍ وَبَنينَ٥٥
Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children
۞ أَوفُوا الكَيلَ وَلا تَكونوا مِنَ المُخسِرينَ١٨١
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
وَما أَموٰلُكُم وَلا أَولٰدُكُم بِالَّتى تُقَرِّبُكُم عِندَنا زُلفىٰ إِلّا مَن ءامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَأُولٰئِكَ لَهُم جَزاءُ الضِّعفِ بِما عَمِلوا وَهُم فِى الغُرُفٰتِ ءامِنونَ٣٧
And it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in position, but it is [by being] one who has believed and done righteousness. For them there will be the double reward for what they did, and they will be in the upper chambers [of Paradise], safe [and secure].
هٰأَنتُم هٰؤُلاءِ تُدعَونَ لِتُنفِقوا فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَن يَبخَلُ ۖ وَمَن يَبخَل فَإِنَّما يَبخَلُ عَن نَفسِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ الغَنِىُّ وَأَنتُمُ الفُقَراءُ ۚ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوا يَستَبدِل قَومًا غَيرَكُم ثُمَّ لا يَكونوا أَمثٰلَكُم٣٨
Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of Allah - but among you are those who withhold [out of greed]. And whoever withholds only withholds [benefit] from himself; and Allah is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.
ءامِنوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسولِهِ وَأَنفِقوا مِمّا جَعَلَكُم مُستَخلَفينَ فيهِ ۖ فَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا مِنكُم وَأَنفَقوا لَهُم أَجرٌ كَبيرٌ٧
Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.
وَما لَكُم أَلّا تُنفِقوا فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ ميرٰثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ لا يَستَوى مِنكُم مَن أَنفَقَ مِن قَبلِ الفَتحِ وَقٰتَلَ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ أَعظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِنَ الَّذينَ أَنفَقوا مِن بَعدُ وَقٰتَلوا ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الحُسنىٰ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرٌ١٠
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.
مَن ذَا الَّذى يُقرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضٰعِفَهُ لَهُ وَلَهُ أَجرٌ كَريمٌ١١
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?
إِنَّ المُصَّدِّقينَ وَالمُصَّدِّقٰتِ وَأَقرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرضًا حَسَنًا يُضٰعَفُ لَهُم وَلَهُم أَجرٌ كَريمٌ١٨
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.
