۞ وَالوٰلِدٰتُ يُرضِعنَ أَولٰدَهُنَّ حَولَينِ كامِلَينِ ۖ لِمَن أَرادَ أَن يُتِمَّ الرَّضاعَةَ ۚ وَعَلَى المَولودِ لَهُ رِزقُهُنَّ وَكِسوَتُهُنَّ بِالمَعروفِ ۚ لا تُكَلَّفُ نَفسٌ إِلّا وُسعَها ۚ لا تُضارَّ وٰلِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِها وَلا مَولودٌ لَهُ بِوَلَدِهِ ۚ وَعَلَى الوارِثِ مِثلُ ذٰلِكَ ۗ فَإِن أَرادا فِصالًا عَن تَراضٍ مِنهُما وَتَشاوُرٍ فَلا جُناحَ عَلَيهِما ۗ وَإِن أَرَدتُم أَن تَستَرضِعوا أَولٰدَكُم فَلا جُناحَ عَلَيكُم إِذا سَلَّمتُم ما ءاتَيتُم بِالمَعروفِ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعلَموا أَنَّ اللَّهَ بِما تَعمَلونَ بَصيرٌ٢٣٣
Mothers may breastfeed their children two complete years for whoever wishes to complete the nursing [period]. Upon the father is the mothers' provision and their clothing according to what is acceptable. No person is charged with more than his capacity. No mother should be harmed through her child, and no father through his child. And upon the [father's] heir is [a duty] like that [of the father]. And if they both desire weaning through mutual consent from both of them and consultation, there is no blame upon either of them. And if you wish to have your children nursed by a substitute, there is no blame upon you as long as you give payment according to what is acceptable. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Seeing of what you do
۞ لَيسَ البِرَّ أَن تُوَلّوا وُجوهَكُم قِبَلَ المَشرِقِ وَالمَغرِبِ وَلٰكِنَّ البِرَّ مَن ءامَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الءاخِرِ وَالمَلٰئِكَةِ وَالكِتٰبِ وَالنَّبِيّۦنَ وَءاتَى المالَ عَلىٰ حُبِّهِ ذَوِى القُربىٰ وَاليَتٰمىٰ وَالمَسٰكينَ وَابنَ السَّبيلِ وَالسّائِلينَ وَفِى الرِّقابِ وَأَقامَ الصَّلوٰةَ وَءاتَى الزَّكوٰةَ وَالموفونَ بِعَهدِهِم إِذا عٰهَدوا ۖ وَالصّٰبِرينَ فِى البَأساءِ وَالضَّرّاءِ وَحينَ البَأسِ ۗ أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ صَدَقوا ۖ وَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُتَّقونَ١٧٧
Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous
وَءاتُوا النِّساءَ صَدُقٰتِهِنَّ نِحلَةً ۚ فَإِن طِبنَ لَكُم عَن شَيءٍ مِنهُ نَفسًا فَكُلوهُ هَنيـًٔا مَريـًٔا٤
And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously. But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease
وَلا تَقتُلوا أَولٰدَكُم خَشيَةَ إِملٰقٍ ۖ نَحنُ نَرزُقُهُم وَإِيّاكُم ۚ إِنَّ قَتلَهُم كانَ خِطـًٔا كَبيرًا٣١
And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin
وَإِنّى خِفتُ المَوٰلِىَ مِن وَراءى وَكانَتِ امرَأَتى عاقِرًا فَهَب لى مِن لَدُنكَ وَلِيًّا٥
And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir
وَبَرًّا بِوٰلِدَيهِ وَلَم يَكُن جَبّارًا عَصِيًّا١٤
And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant
وَبَرًّا بِوٰلِدَتى وَلَم يَجعَلنى جَبّارًا شَقِيًّا٣٢
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant
وَهُوَ الَّذى خَلَقَ مِنَ الماءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهرًا ۗ وَكانَ رَبُّكَ قَديرًا٥٤
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]
وَاغفِر لِأَبى إِنَّهُ كانَ مِنَ الضّالّينَ٨٦
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray
وَأَنذِر عَشيرَتَكَ الأَقرَبينَ٢١٤
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred
