Duas for Anxiety & Distress
Dua for Anxiety
There is no deity except You. Glory be to You. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.
— Quran 21:87 — Prophet Yunus (AS)
Dua for Distress
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye. Rectify all my affairs. There is no deity except You.
— Sunan Abi Dawud 5090
The Power of Dua
Dua (supplication) is one of the most direct forms of worship in Islam. It is the believer's conversation with Allah — a private channel where we express our needs, fears, hopes, and gratitude. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Dua is the essence of worship." (Tirmidhi 3372)
Whether you are seeking comfort in times of anxiety, protection from harm, or strength to face the day, these duas carry the weight of prophetic tradition and Quranic authority. Reciting them with conviction and sincerity can bring profound peace to the heart.
